Writers Wanted!
E&M is looking for writers to work with us to capture the stories of folks who have participated in the "Empty & Meaningless" box project - to be published on the project website and in the installations and other collections of the stories created out of the project.

"E&M" has captured the interest of all kinds of people, for a variety of reasons - and is being used in workshops, classrooms, in fundraising events, and more.

In light of that burgeoning interest there are story opportunities for magazine and newspaper articles in addition to the work requested by E&M.

Please take a few minutes to read through the site and see if there is something here that touches you, an idea or a story that captures your attention.

Then call or e-mail Adrienne and let her know that you're interested in participating in interviewing E&M participants, writing stories for this site, submitting articles to other publications, writing press releases, promotional copy, ad copy—whatever service you want to provide. And don't be shy! We aren't— we're clear we need it all!

The “Empty and Meaningless” project is looking for participation from individuals, galleries, public display spaces, businesses and groups in the following areas:

• To schedule dates in your gallery or public space to display the installations during the 2004 touring season. Available from May to December.
• Bring the project to your next organizational meeting, including your work, volunteer group, church, neighborhood association, any gathering in which you feel this project would add a sense of contribution and fun. Invite Adrienne to present the project, or present it to your group yourself.
• Word-of-mouth promotion to include as many people in our communities as possible by the posted deadlines. Please feel free to photocopy this information and pass it on to whomever you feel this project might touch, move or inspire in some personal way.
• Small boxes & gesso or primer to supply to the people requesting participation in “Empty and Meaningless”. If you are a retail business cleaning house, please let us know if you have any small gift or display boxes (similarly sized to jewelry boxes), and we’ll take them off your hands.
• Volunteers for a large variety of opportunities.
