BOX STORIES

This was one of the first boxes created by artist and E&M Founder, Adrienne Fritze, and is about her relationship with her brother - 10 years her senior. The box panels each have a unique face painted on it representing the many viewpoints throughout the years the artist has held about him. In the end, she acknowledges, and is thankful for, the gift that is her brother.

WORKSHOP | Breaking Through Beliefs That Bind
20 JUNE 2005 - 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Barriers to having the life and relationships of your dreams are not always seen easily by you, making them nearly impossible to overcome. The frustration of trying to "make something happen" becomes exhausting over time. You often end up withdrawing from the dream to avoid the pain of pursuing it. What is lost seems as though it may never be recovered again. Hopelessness fills the space around your dream life, and it is put it off for another distant day when everything else is taken care of.

myVOICE LLC and Working Artists Studios invite you to join us for the applied arts workshop, Breaking Through Beliefs That Bind, on Friday, August 20th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

In this workshop we explore the power point-of-view has in your life, and discover the resulting beliefs that get in the way of you having the relationships that make up the life you dream of--with yourself, your family and friends, even your higher power. Once uncovered, you have the opportunity to create a new, empowering point-of-view that will shift your experience of your life - forever.

Workshop includes:

  • an art and conversational journey designed to have us see and set aside the barriers in the way of fulfilling our dreams.
  • all art materials needed to create and hang the box collages
  • exhibition of the work at Working Artists Gallery in September (on a voluntary basis only – not required)
  • heartwork, to take what you learn in this workshop out in to the world

The workshop is $65 per person (includes a $5 materials fee). Class size is limited to 20 participants. Call Working Artists at 503.445.1268 to register today, or register through PayPal below.

Workshop Outline
The intent of the workshop is to explore our personal truths about ourselves and the people in our lives, and to create new empowering beliefs that shift the quality of our relationships and our experience of life. We do this by exploring our beliefs - examining our relationships, looking at where they are today, seeing what works and what doesn't in the light of what we say we are committed to having in those relationships and in our life.
The process of inquiry has the following steps:

To see a full description of a step, just click on the at the end of the step and a new window will pop-up with more detail.

  • Step 3: Identifying Existing Beliefs
  • Step 4: Choosing to Trust and to be Free
  • Step 5: Creating New Beliefs
  • Step 6: Using Collage and Assemblage to Experience the Shift
  • Step 7: Sharing Boxes with the Group
