The Border Project

Every Border a Beginning.

I draw borders—frames that invite possibility. Each one is a starting point, waiting for another hand, another imagination, to bring it to life with paint, collage, doodle, or words—whatever moves you.

You don’t need to be an artist. Just bring curiosity and a willingness to make a mark. Pick a border, play inside it (or outside it!), and make it your own.

Your finished piece will join others in the Wellsher Building Hallway Gallery this December—proof that art gets more interesting at the edges, and that creativity grows stronger in community.

How to Participate

Joining the Border Project is simple — and fun. Whether you’ve been making art for years or just want to try something new, you’re welcome here.

1. Choose Your Border
Browse the available designs online or stop by Suite 16 to pick one up in person.
Each border is printed on:

  • 8.5 x 11” thick card stock, or

  • 11 x 17” fine art paper.

Choose whichever size calls to you.

2. Make It Your Own
Add your magic — draw, paint, collage, write, or mix it all up.

Stay inside the lines or burst right past them.

There’s no wrong way to collaborate.

3. Return It by Thanksgiving (Wed, November 26, 2025)
Drop off your finished piece at Suite 16 or mail it in so it arrives before Thanksgiving.

This gives me time to matte and frame everything for the December CAW Hallway Gallery show.

4. Decide if You’d Like to Sell It (Optional)
If you’d like your work to be for sale during the show, we’ll handle it through our store. A 35% commission covers fees and management of the sales process.

If you prefer to simply show your work, that’s wonderful too.

Note for Current Participants

Hey Border Collaborators!

A little nudge from your fellow border-maker — the deadline to return your finished piece is Wednesday, November 26th (yep, the day before Thanksgiving). That gives me time to prepare your piece for our December CAW Hallway Gallery show, which goes up the first week of December.

Please feel free to text or email me to make arrangements for drop-offs before November 26th, as I have variable hours in my studio and office. My mobile number is (541) 250-2027.

Alternatively, you can choose a day and time from my calendar. That calendar is HERE.

As a reminder, we are at 460 SW Madison Avenue, Suite 9 & 16 (2nd Floor), Corvallis, OR 97333.

When you drop your new artwork off, let me know at that time if you’d like to offer it for sale during the show — this is totally optional!

If you do, I have a sales agreement for us to sign. Our company, RemarkableArts, will retain 35% of the sales price to cover fees and the behind-the-scenes wrangling, and you receive 65%.

I can’t wait to see how you’ve played inside (and maybe a little outside) the lines!

With heARTfelt thanks!
